The Summer Gap

Your club stops in June.
The best players don't.

Top clubs slow down in summer. Serious players still need real games.

NYC Summer Soccer Invitational is presented by JOGA NYC x HDRFC for serious U15-U18 players. Formats adjust by turnout and level: some mixed U15-U18 games, some age-band games, and balanced teams built for competitive play.

The Sessions

Seven Sundays. One World Cup final break.

Two full hours. Balanced rosters, fast games, and enough structure to adapt the format to the players who show up.

Mixed Runs

4:00 — 6:00 PM

U15-U18 players can be mixed when the level is right and the games benefit from older-younger pressure.

Age-Band Games

4:00 — 6:00 PM

When numbers allow, games can split by age band so tempo, size, and physicality stay fair.

Balanced Teams

4:00 — 6:00 PM

Teams are adjusted by level, position, fitness, and fit so the session stays competitive.

Built for players already competing at a strong youth level. The final format is based on turnout, level, position balance, and fit.

Core Principles

Respect. Discipline. Standard.

Organized free play, not chaos. Clear rules, strong players, high standards, and a camera-free environment built for development.

01

Respect

No rough fouls. No foul language. No cheap play.

02

Discipline

Arrive ready, rotate properly, listen, and keep the game moving.

03

No Compromise

Equal teams, MLS balls, cones, pinnies, structure, and permitted field space.

04

Right Fit

Players may be respectfully asked to step out if the technical, physical, or character fit is not right.

05

Camera-Free

No filming, cameras, or content creation during play. This is for players who want to develop, play freely, and get better without social media pressure.

06

Development First

No influencer energy. The focus is competitive reps, confidence, decision-making, and getting better.
